Alisa J. Donovan, 30, of Blandon, passed away on February 21, 2026, leaving a legacy of love and resilience that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her, and is now home with God, embraced in eternal peace. Born on June 29, 1995, Alisa was a beacon of light, known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering zest for life, despite the struggles she faced throughout her adolescence and into her adult years.
Alisa dedicated her career to helping others as a Home Health Aide, where her compassionate nature shone through in every interaction. She derived great joy in providing care and support, embodying the essence of kindness that defined her.
Her greatest joy was undoubtedly her beloved daughter, Za'Mira Farley. Alisa loved Za'Mira more than anything, cherishing the special moments they shared together. The bond they formed was a testament to Alisa's devotion and strength, a love that only grew deeper over the years.
Alisa held a unique connection with her Nana, Deborah Pflueger, who she referred to as her person. Their time spent together was filled with laughter, lessons, and memories that Alisa treasured deeply. It was a relationship that reinforced the importance of family, grounding her amid life's challenges.
She is survived by her devoted mother, Danielle (Pflueger) Mayer. Her mother was her rock and her safe place, the one who lifted her from her lowest moments, stood beside her through every mistake, and together they learned, grew, and found strength in each other’s unwavering love. She is also survived by her step-father, Patrick Mayer. Alisa also leaves behind her loving step-siblings, Nathan Mayer, husband of Jill, and Marley Mayer, companion of Brady Handwerk, who provided her with additional support and love throughout the latter half of her life. In addition, she is mourned by her uncles, Bruce Pflueger, Jr., husband of Denise; and Barry Pflueger, husband of Jodi; and her Godmother, Angie Schlenker. Alisa is also lovingly survived by many additional family members and friends whose unwavering care, support, and deep affection filled her life with warmth and belonging.
Although Alisa's maternal grandfather, Bruce Pflueger, has passed, he was a prominent figure in her life and his memory remained a guiding light for Alisa, shaping the woman she became.
Alisa’s service will take place on Friday February 27, 2026, at Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 pm in the funeral home. The family kindly asks that attendance at the service be limited to local family and friends, and looks forward to honoring her memory with a memorial gathering in Philadelphia at a later date, where all who loved her will be warmly welcomed to celebrate her life.
As we say goodbye to Alisa, let us remember her as a vibrant soul whose love for her family knew no bounds. Her story reminds us all that life’s struggles do not define us; rather, it is our spirit, our connections, and our love for one another that lights the way forward.
