Barbara Ann Ortiz

Barbara Ann Ortiz, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, 67, of Reading, passed away Wednesday April 2nd in the Reading Hospital of natural causes.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Elias Snyder and Emily (Schlegel) Snyder.
She was formerly employed by Goodwill Industries on 5th St. in Muhlenberg Twp. as a supervisor.

Surviving are her children, Michael Allen Ortiz of Reading, Steven P. Ortiz, husband of Sherry of Hamburg, Lisa M. Ortiz and Carmen M., wife of Anthony Pabon both of Reading. She was predeceased by a son, Luis Munoz.

Also, her grandchildren, Steven P., Jr., Hannah A., and Victoria E. Ortiz, Jeffrey A. Wentzel, Heather Woomer, Antonio, Jr. and Neveah McCalister, Anthony G. and Steven M. Ortiz, David A. Hernandez, and Cynthia A. Ortiz. And one great granddaughter, McKenzie Wentzel.

She was predeceased by one grandchild, Michael A. Ortiz, Jr.

There is a brother, Donald Snyder of Macungie and two deceased brothers, Ronald Henry and William Robert Snyder.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday April 8th at 7 PM in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple. A visitation with the family will be held Tuesday from 6pm until time of service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 1130, Fairfax, VA 22038.
