Bruce A. Reifsnyder

November 23, 1957 — June 19, 2013

Bruce A. Reifsnyder, 55, of Bernville, loving husband, son, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away Wednesday June 19th in his residence, surrounded by his family, following a courageous six month battle with cancer.

He was married to Diane "DeeDee" B. (Evans) Reifsnyder.

Born in Savannah, GA, he was the son of William H. and Peggy A. (VonDohren) Reifsnyder of Bernville.

He was most recently employed by Summit Steel of Reading for eight years.
Formerly he was employed by the former Northeastern Distributing in Wyomissing for over twenty years.
He was a 1975 graduate of Wyomissing High School where he was a member of the Wyomissing High School County Championship Golf Team from 1971 until 1975. He continued to enjoy playing golf throughout his life.
He attended the University of Maryland.
He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Wyomissing.
He was a member of the Strausstown Rod and Gun Club and Northkill Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed working around and renovating his home. He also enjoyed renovating and helping his family and friends with their homes.

Additional survivors include his children, Adam Reifsnyder, husband of Heather of Wernersville, Ben and Amiee Reifsnyder both of Exeter Twp., and two step daughters, Heather and Kayla Shirey both of Bernville.
There is one grandchild, Sarah Reifsnyder and three step grandchildren, Caira Stevenson and Savannah and Chloe Shirey.
He is also survived by two sisters, Joan, wife of John Lundin of Scranton and Anne Dean of Bechtelsville.

Funeral services will be Monday June 24th at 7:30 pm in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Vicar Thomas J. Scornavacchi officiating. Family and friends may attend a viewing on Monday from 5:30 pm until time of service in the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave.., Laureldale, PA 19605, the Reading Hospital RPS Hematology Oncology Dept., 6th Ave. and Spruce St., Bldg. N Ground, West Reading, PA 19611, or Heartland Hospice, 4 Park Plaza, Suite 105A, Wyomissing, PA 19610.
