Carl E. Messner

Carl E. Messner, 55, of Reading passed away Thursday, October 5^th in Tower Health, Reading Hospital.

Carl was born in Reading, son of Amber Kay Althouse and Robert C. Althouse. He was predeceased by his father Larry D. Messner.

Carl is survived by his longtime companion Alyssa A. Hummel.

He is also survived by his siblings, Michelle Maxwell, wife of Jason Maxwell of Birdsboro, Dale Althouse, husband of Allison Althouse of Richland, and Robert W. Althouse of Stouchsburg.

He has numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

He last worked for C. M. S. in Reading as a cement and concrete finisher.

Carl’s love of animals, especially his cats was quite evident.

Known first as the kid and then the old man at work.

He will be sadly missed by those who loved him.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 14^th in Haags Cemetery, Washington Street, Bernville PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508.

The Kirkhoff Funeral Home in Bernville is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
