Carolyn E. Leister

Carolyn E. (Schatz) Leister, 97, of New Hanover Township, passed away Saturday November 9th in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. She was predeceased by her parents, John George Schatz, Jr. and Susan Elizabeth (Eckenroth) Schatz,

Carolyn was married to the late Wayne Jay Leister who passed away June 16, 1999.

Carolyn is survived by her loving Children: CAROL BRIGGS (The late DUDLEY), SUSAN JORDAN (ROBERT), WAYNE LEISTER (ANNE), DONALD LEISTER (TINA), and DAVID LEISTER (CAROL). 

Also, her loving Grandchildren: MICHAEL BRIGGS (VALERIE), MATTHEW BRIGGS, DOUGLAS JORDAN, ANDREW JORDAN, ELISABETH PAC (RYAN), JENNIFER LEISTER (JAMES), CAITLIN LEISTER, and CHARLES ALUTIUS. 

There are six loving Great Grandchildren: 

She is predeceased by her Siblings: JOHN SCHATZ (JANET), MARGARET WOLFF (CLARENCE), ANNA MAY MILLER (HERBERT), and RITA YUNDT (WILLIAM). There are many nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was a member of New Ridge Fellowship Church in Gilbertsville.

Carolyn was very faithful to her church, for many years she was a member of the choir and a counter.

Carolyn graduated from Mohnton High School and over the years she was a secretary for various employers throughout the area.

 She enjoyed solving the New York Times crossword puzzles and was an avid reader.

In her earlier years she was a ballerina even performing at Steel Pier in Atlantic City.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Spring of 2025.
