Claudia J. (Spannuth) Shuman, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, at St. Joseph's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 4, 1950, she was a daughter to the late Robert and Lois (Kranch) Spannuth.
Claudia was a proud graduate of Muhlenberg High School in 1968. For 54 wonderful years, she shared her life and love with her husband, Bruce Shuman. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of life, building a family that served as the cornerstone of their happiness.
Claudia was the cherished mother of Michael Shuman, who is married to Kira, and Jennifer Shuman. She took immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Haley, Willow, and Cole, pouring her affection into every moment spent with them. Her grandchildren were the apples of her eye, and she treasured the times they shared together.
As a member of Maidencreek Church, Claudia found a sense of purpose and belonging within her community. Her passions extended beyond her faith; she enjoyed enriching her life through books, indulging in the thrill of casinos, and keeping up with her favorite television show, General Hospital. Yet, her greatest delight came from spending time with her family, creating joyous memories that will forever linger in their hearts.
Claudia is also survived by her siblings, Kathleen Sullivan, wife of Jim, Robert Spannuth, husband of Wanda, and Glenn Spannuth, husband of Joyce. She will be remembered not only by her immediate family but also by her step-siblings, Jeff Phillips and Deborah Wolfe, wife of Keith.
Claudia's life will be celebrated during visitation and funeral services at Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road in Temple. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 9:30 am - 10:30 am, followed by the funeral service at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Claudia's name may be made to, Maidencreek Church, 261 Main Street, Blandon, PA 19510.
