Cyrus H. "Butch" Long, Jr., 78, of Mohrsville, passed away Sunday, December 17th in Penn State St. Joseph Hospital.
Cyrus was married to the late S. Marie (Shubrooks) Long who passed away May 30, 2011.
Cyrus was the son of the late Cyrus H. Long, Sr. and Sara Belle (Brown) Long.
He was a member of Tri-County Worship Center in Bethel.
He retired from Kutztown University as a supervisor in custodial services.
Cyrus enjoyed socializing with the community at various restaurants in the area. He was always known for his sense of humor, declaring him the "Town Clown".
Surviving are two daughters, Tomica Marie Kunkle of Reading and Naomi Reimert and husband Eliot of Bernville.
There are twelve grandchildren, David, Miranda, Thomas, Casey, Shiann, Shawn, Tyler, Alyssa, Cody, Anthony, Nathaniel, and Logan.
Also, three great grandchildren, Vienna, Miah, and Raiden.
Cyrus is predeceased by brothers, Charles and Raymond Long.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 27th at 11 am in the Tri-County Worship Center, 1501 Schubert Rd., Bethel, PA 19507 with Pastor Ted Williams officiating.
Viewings will be held on Tuesday evening in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple from 6 until 8 pm and on Wednesday morning from 10 until 11 am in Tri-County Worship Center in Bethel.
Interment will follow the service on Wednesday in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
