Daniel Iwaschenko, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on July 26, 2025, at Sinking Spring Nursing & Rehab. He was born on December 11, 1952, and was a proud graduate of Reading High School in 1972.
Daniel was a devoted member of Good Shepherd U.C.C., where he found community and support throughout his life. His passion for life extended to his interests, which included being an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan—GO BIRDS! He also enjoyed being an active member of the Robesonia Rod and Gun Club; Additionally, Daniel found great joy in cooking, often sharing delicious meals with his family and friends.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Judith (Meleon) Iwaschenko, who was his steadfast partner through every season of life. Daniel is also survived by his daughter, Michelle Smith, wife of Otis, who continues to carry forward his legacy; Grandchildren, Andrew Katzenmoyer, husband of Lydia, and Lindsey Katzenmoyer, who brought immense happiness to his life.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Ksenia (Hruszka) Iwaschenko, as well as his brothers, Andrew Iwaschenko and John Hruszka.
His absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him, but his spirit and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of his family.
A Celebration of Daniel's life will be held at a later date.
