David W. Hoagland

David W. “Hoagie” Hoagland, Sr., 82, of Maidencreek Twp., passed away Sunday evening, October 8^th in Penn State, St. Joseph Hospital, Bern Twp.

Dave was married to the late Eleanor May (George) Hoagland who passed away March 15, 2022.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John D. and Olive (Henry) Hoagland.

Surviving is a son, David W. Hoagland, Jr. and wife Karen Hoagland.

There are three Grandchildren, Chad, Dakota, and Dalton Hoagland.

Also, there are four Great Grandchildren.

Dave is also survived by a sister, Mildred Mattassa.

Dave was a member of Faith Evangelical Congregational Church in South Temple.

A graduate of Muhlenberg High School, he was employed by Prestolite Batteries in Muhlenberg Twp., Boyertown Casket Company, and Fromm Electric in Reading.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 20^th at Noon in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Pastor Brett Kindig officiating.

A viewing will be held from 10 AM until Noon on Friday morning in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service in St John’s Gernants Church Cemetery in Leesport.
