Denise K Troutman

The fun-loving and fearless Denise K. Troutman, 57, of Bernville, got to meet Jesus on August 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 10, 1969, Denise lived life with her whole heart. She was a woman of strong faith, a devoted wife and mother, a proud Nini, and someone who never shied away from an adventure.

Denise was the loving wife and constant companion of Eric H. Troutman Jr. The two were rarely apart and shared a bond that was evident to everyone who knew them. They did life together—whether they were traveling, ballpark chasing, spending time with family, enjoying a tropical beach (getting married in Jamaica), or simply sitting down for a Sunday family dinner. Eric was her person, and their life together was one of love, partnership, and countless memories.

Family was at the center of Denise’s world. She was the proud mother of Lauren A. Nutter, wife of Jeremy; Jarred “Bubba” D. Luckenbill; and Alisa M. Courtright, wife of Adam. She adored her grandchildren, Keith J. Nutter and Dominic J. Nutter, and cherished time with her sister Dawn E. Switzer, wife of Kevin and enjoyed kisses from her grand-dogs, Autumn and Tucker.

Denise never missed her grandchildren’s sporting events and treasured every opportunity to be together as a family. Sunday dinners, making Christmas cookies together, and the everyday moments with the people she loved were some of the things that made life special to her.

Denise had a true zest for life. She was a God-fearing woman who attended West Wyomissing Chapel, where her faith was an important part of who she was. She was also an adventurer and an adrenaline thrill-seeker who enjoyed the excitement of trying something new. She loved her vegetable gardening (which really just consisted of watching Eric tend to her garden), enjoyed thrifting, was a devoted Philadelphia Phillies fan who never watched a game quietly, and brought that same energy to the people and things she loved. She spent many years playing pool and enjoyed traveling, whether it was a trip to the tropics or the mountains, and loved trying her luck at the casinos.

Her caring nature extended well beyond her family. Denise served as secretary for the Bernville Fire Company for 10 years and helped organize banquets and fundraisers and gave her time generously to the organization and her community.

Denise began working as a hairstylist at just 16 years old and spent more than 30 years doing what she loved. Her salon became a place where friendships were made. Most recently, she was a patient liaison at Strive Physical Therapy, where she proudly spent over 3 years. She loved her work and the people she met there, and her years at Strive were a meaningful part of her life.

Denise had a way of making life an experience rather than simply going through the motions. She loved hard, worked hard, prayed hard, played hard, and made sure there was always room for family, adventure, and a little excitement. Her fearless spirit, strong faith, love of family, and unmistakable personality will live on in the people who knew her best.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Huff and Darlene Caves.

The family will welcome friends on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at West Wyomissing Chapel. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m., officiated by William Lockhart.
