Dennis A. Gay, 69, passed away on May 1, 2024, at Phoebe Allentown. He was born on January 17, 1955, in Reading to his loving parents, the late Michael F. and Dolores R. (Madeira) Gay.
Dennis was a hardworking individual who pursued a fulfilling career over the years. He began his journey after graduating from Reading High School in 1972. Dennis then worked at Rockwell International as a heavy press operator from 1972 to 1981 and later at Dana Corporations from 1982 to 2000. His passion for serving others led him to become a bartender at Central Fire Company from 2000 until his retirement in 2016.
Apart from his professional endeavors, Dennis found joy in various hobbies and interests such as bowling and golfing. He was known for his skills on the bowling alley lanes and the golf course, bringing laughter and friendly competition wherever he went.
In his leisure time, Dennis cherished moments spent with his family. He was a life member of Central Beneficial and Northend Rod and Gun Club, where he formed lasting memories with friends.
Dennis is survived by his twin sister Denise A. Nally, wife of Patrick J., of Muhlenberg Township. Additionally, he leaves behind nieces Amanda Nally of Clearwater, FL, and Alyssa Nally of Wyomissing. Not to be forgotten is Harley, the beloved dog who brought him endless companionship and love.
