Diane M. Miller, née Laubenstein, born December 6, 1941, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, in Reading, Pennsylvania. With a life deeply rooted in the rhythms of the land and the melodies of country music, Diane leaves behind a legacy of steadfast devotion and vibrant spirit.
From her earliest days, Diane was intimately connected to her family’s farm, a place where she toiled and nurtured the earth with unwavering dedication. What began as a dairy farm, home to her beloved Holstein and Guernsey cattle, notably embodied her affection for cows and butterflies alike, blossomed over time into verdant fields of crops. Farming was not merely a livelihood for Diane; it was a lifelong journey of commitment, nurturing, and love—a true reflection of her resilient character and enduring spirit.
A proud graduate of Blue Mountain High School’s class of 1959, Diane embraced life with enthusiasm and a unique sense of joy. She was a devoted fan of Flaming Dick and the Hot Rods, traveling far and wide to follow the band, sharing her love for country music with a passion that touched all who knew her. Her laughter and lively spirit were as much a part of her as the fields she worked.
Diane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Miller I, and her parents, Willard Laubenstein and Ana Laubenstein (Keller). Cherished survivors include her sons: Gerald Miller II and his wife Sibel of Temple, PA; Keith Miller and his wife Lori of Bernville, PA; and Craig Miller and his wife Jessica of Harrisburg, PA. Her heart was further enriched by her grandchildren: Calvin T. Miller, Drew A. Miller and his wife Elizabeth, Konnor A. Miller, Atlas I. Miller, Jacob R. Miller, Mary Mae Miller, Katelyn D. Mitchell and her husband Jerrell, and Hayden A. Miller. Diane also leaves behind her sister Eliane M. Fisher and her husband Thomas, and her brother Robert Laubenstein and his wife Margaret.
A visitation to honor Diane’s memory will be held on May 21, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., both at Kirkhoff Funeral Home, located at 206 North Main Street, Bernville, PA 19506. Burial will then take place at Fairview Cemetery of Salem Belleman’s Church in Centre Township. The family will offer refreshments at the Belleman’s Fellowship Hall.
Diane M. Miller’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of hard work, familial love, and heartfelt music. Her legacy is carried forward in the hearts of all who loved her, in the fields that still whisper her name, and in the melodies that will forever echo the joy she found in song. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on, timeless and tender, like the butterflies she adored.
