Donald E Balthaser

Donald E. Balthaser, 88, of Bernville passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 27, 1935, he was a son to the late Elmer and Helen (Degler) Balthaser. He was the loving husband of Peggy Ann (Lando) Balthaser with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.

Donald was employed by George H. Longenecker & Sons where he worked as a carpenter for over 30 years. He was a member of the Bernville Fire Company and also served as the Assistant Chief. Donald also held memberships at Northkill Rod & Gun and Strausstown Rod & Gun.

In addition to his wife, Peggy, Donald is survived by his son, Thomas D. Balthaser, husband of Brenda. Also surviving are grandchildren, Eric T., husband of Adrienne and Joshua A.; Two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Jordan and one brother, Barry Balthaser, husband of Jeri.

Donald was predeceased by one brother, Richard Balthaser.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville.
