Donald W. "Tony" Davis, 79, of Bernville passed away Friday, May 18th in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center.
Tony was married to Shirley (Raezer) Davis. Tony and Shirley are married for fifty seven years.
Born in Mt. Pleasant, he was the son of the late Artin Landis and Annie Davis.
Tony attended Penn Bernville School.
Throughout his life Tony was a very hard worker.
Tony was a dairy farmer for eighteen years on the Fritz Farm in Jefferson Twp..
For seventeen years he was employed mowing grass for the Heidelberg Country Club.
Most recently for the past twelve years he was on the grounds maintenance staff for Penn Twp.
Tony was a faithful member of Christ Little Tulpehocken Church in Jefferson Twp.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, a happy grandfather and great grandfather. He will be truly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.
Additional survivors include three children, Michael Davis, husband of Michele (Wagner) Davis of Robesonia, Susan Barnett, wife of James Barnett of Temple, and Mindy Rohrer, wife of John Rohrer of Myerstown.
There are seven grandchildren, Kevin Schwenk, husband of Melissa Schwenk, Patrick and Alex Barnett, Nicole and Tyler Davis, and Chase and Emily Rohrer.
There is a great granddaughter, Madison Schwenk.
There is a brother, Clarence Davis, husband of Faye Davis of Leesport.
Tony is predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie Schwenk, wife of the late Thomas Schwenk and a sister, Verna Stamm, widow of Stanley Stamm.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24th at 11 am in Christ Little Tulpehocken Church, 40 Church Rd., Bernville, PA 19506 with Reverend James Snyder officiating.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 pm in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville and Thursday morning from 10 until 11 am in Christ Little Tulpehocken Church.
Interment will follow the service on Thursday in the adjoining church cemetery.
