Donald F. Kline, 89, formerly of Bernville, died on Sunday, November 26 in Tower Health (The Reading Hospital and Medical Center).
Born in Bernville, he was a son of the late William A. and Sallie A. (Strause) Kline.
He was employed 42 years as a Title Searcher and Title Officer of the former Berks Title Insurance Company, retiring in 1990.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a life-long member of St. Thomas Church, Bernville.
He was a member of the Bernville Fire Company, the Berks County Historical Society, former Secretary of the Bernville Lions Club, and a life member of Carl Anspach Post 732 American Legion, Bernville.
He was a graduate of the former Penn Township School, class of 1946 and a graduate of the former Reading Business Institute, class of 1948.
He is survived by his sister, Helen K. Marshall, widow of Donald P. Marshall, Wernersville. There are several nieces and nephews also surviving: Mildred Bross, wife of Eric Bross, Bernville; Louise Kiehl, wife of Mark Kiehl, Bernville; Patricia Kramer of Shavertown; Tim Bauman of Seattle; Jane Kline of Bernville; Loretta White and Dale Kline of St Petersburg.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph J. Kline and William H. Kline, and three sisters, Ethel M. Reifsnyder, Bernice K. Bauman, and Lorraine J. Kline.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2nd at 10:30 am with a viewing from 9:30 until 10:30 am in Phoebe Berks Village Chapel, 9 Reading Drive, Wernersville, PA 19565, enter at the Community Center Entrance.
Rev. Dr. Daniel Lute will officiate the service.
There will be a viewing on Friday evening in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville from 6:00 until 7:30 pm.
Interment will follow the funeral on Saturday in St. Thomas Cemetery in Bernville.
Flowers are accepted or contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. Thomas Church, 536 N. Main St., Bernville, PA 19506.
