Doris G. Boarder

Doris G. Boarder, 92, formerly of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Thursday night in Manor Care Health Services in Laureldale.

She was married to the late Atlee B. Boarder who passed away October 23, 1988.

Born in Temple, she was the daughter of the late Edgar L. Hartman and Cora I. (Bossler) Hartman.

She graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1944.

She was employed in the dispensary for Textile Machine Works for twenty years.

She was formerly a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Temple where she was previously active in church activities.

She was a former member of the Junior Woman’s Club in Reading and formerly a volunteer for the Food Bank at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Reading.

Surviving is a niece, Bella Spatz of Birdsboro and two nephews, Jack Brown of Northampton and Dennis Brown of Mohnton.

Additional survivors include Karen Bolin of Lenhartsville and Sheri Estrada of Stockton, California.

She is predeceased by three siblings, Venice Mabry, Lowell Hartman, and Annette (Hartman) Brown.

A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 1st at 11:30 am in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Tuckerton Rd., Reading, PA.
