Eleanor T. Frantz, 91, of Fleetwood, passed away on October 14, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 19, 1931, she was a daughter to the late Raymond and Mary (Saus) Shuman. Eleanor was the wife of the late Earl L. Frantz with whom she shared 70 years of marriage at his time of passing in April 2023.

Eleanor was a member of St. Mary’s RC Church in Kutztown. She was employed by Wilson, where she met her husband, and also worked as a sales clerk at Pomeroy’s Department Store for 16 years until her retirement in 1985. Eleanor often volunteered her time and enjoyed helping at the voting registration in Reading and spent a lot of time at her children’s school and was involved with the PTA while they were growing up. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary with the Olivet Boys and Girls Club of Reading.

Eleanor is survived by her children, Thomas, husband of Debra L., of Muhlenberg Township, and Deborah A. Frantz, wife of Andrew K. Snyder, of Allentown. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jason, Gregory, and Justine, two great-grandchildren; Sister, Joanna Krafczyk, wife of Ted; Nephew, Scott Shuman; Niece, Claudene Schaetzel, wife of William; Sister-in-law, Pat (Miller) Shuman, wife of the late Richard Shuman.

In addition to her parents and husband, Eleanor was predeceased by her sons, David A. Frantz and Glenn M. Frantz, husband of the late Karen (Endy) and her siblings, Richard R. Shuman and Marcella Shuman.  

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery at 11:30 am.

Burial will take place in Gethsemane Mausoleum.

Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
