Ernest A. Lanza
October 30, 1924 — February 17, 2014
Ernest A. Lanza, 89, of Centre Twp., passed away Monday, February 17th in his residence.
He was married to June A. (Wagner) Lanza.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Ernest S. and Margaret (Hoffman) Lanza.
He was a manufacturing representative for a number of companies that sold raw material to the shoe manufacturing industry. He retired and then was employed by Richland Shoe Company as a consultant.
He was a member of Salem Belleman's Church in Mohrsville.
He served in the Army during WW II.
Additional survivors include his children, Kerry M. Lanza, husband of Barbara of Mohnton and Elaine M., wife of Perry Riegel of Mohrsville.
There are three grandchildren, Kelsey Riegel and Emily and Matthew Lanza.
Also, a sister, Geraldine Moyer of Schaumburg, Illinois.
A memorial service will be Saturday, February 22nd at 11 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Rev. Roderick Sutliff officiating.
Family and friends may attend a visitation with the family on Saturday morning from 10 am until time of service in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604.
