George M. Hall

George M. Hall, 99, of Richmond Township passed away on January 10, 2021 in his residence one week away from reaching his 100th birthday.

Born on January 17, 1921 in Minersville, he was the son of the late George F. and Gertrude (Yanz) Hall.

He was the loving husband of the late Harvene L. (Adams) Hall with whom he shared sixty eight years of marriage at the time of her passing on December 22, 2014.

He was employed as a welder for forty two years for Mack Trucks in Allentown.

George proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II.

He was member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fleetwood.

George loved to spend time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who knew him as Pop Pop Pop. He enjoyed traveling with his wife throughout the United States in their motorhome. He could often be found working on home improvement projects for his family.

George is survived by his two daughters, Luanne D. Schettler wife of Kenneth H. of Temple and Georgene H. Heist wife of Donald of Myrtle Beach, SC. Also surviving are grandchildren Lindsay K. Malys wife of Jared of Pittsburgh and Kailey L. Geisinger wife of Jeffrey of Pittsburgh, greatgrandchildren, Samantha Malys and Lillian Geisinger. One sister, Pearl Hahn and several loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter Jennifer D. Smith, his great granddaughter Violet Malys and his three brothers, Fred, Edward and Jack Hall.

Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home in Temple is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

Services will be held private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Berks County Memorial Gardens in Fleetwood.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in George’s memory to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 117 E Arch St., Fleetwood PA 19522.
