Gerald L Luckenbill

Gerald L. Luckenbill, 82, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024, at Reading Hospital. He was born on January 10, 1941, in Stouchsburg to the late Roy A. and Bessie M. (Miller) Luckenbill.

Gerald dedicated his life to his career as a butcher, working for an impressive 47 years at Boyers. He was known for his exceptional skill and meticulous attention to detail.

Outside of work, Gerald enjoyed several hobbies and interests that brought him joy and fulfillment. He had a passion for Dirt Track racing, eagerly following the thrilling races and cheering on his favorite drivers. European football was another one of his passions; he loved watching the games. Additionally, Gerald found solace in the timeless charm of Old Western Movies, often losing himself in the captivating stories and iconic characters.

Left to honor Gerald's memory are his children: Eric D. Luckenbill, companion of Heather Helmick; Jerry L. Katz; Tina M. Fisher; and Stacey Bowman, wife of Steven. His grandchildren Sage, Shane, Skylar, Tèa, Alyssa, and Kali held a special place in Gerald's heart. 
Gerald will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Marvin Luckenbill, Bernice Van Sant, AnnaMarie Hojnowski, and Sandy Litchko. Gerald's faithful companion, Ernie, was not just a pet but his best buddy who brightened his days with love and companionship.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his siblings, Luther Luckenbill, Galen Luckenbill, Terry Luckenbill and Nancy Long.  

Gerald L Luckenbill touched the lives of many with his dedication, compassion, and warm spirit. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
