Gery J. Botwright, 66, of Reading, passed away Tuesday morning in his residence.
Born in Hazelton, he was the son of the late Norris J. Botwright and Helen M. (Jenco) Botwright.
He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church.
He was formerly employed by Carpenter Technology Corp. and Advance Motors.
Surviving is a son, Zachary J. Botwright and wife Tara Botwright. of Reading.
He is survived by his longtime friend, Brenda L. Eck of Reading.
There is a grandson, Caleb J. Botwright and a step grandson, Giovanni Perez.
He is survived by a brother, James J. Botwright and wife Nancy Botwright of Shoemakersville and a sister, Kathleen E. McNichol and husband Charles A. McNichol of Muhlenberg Twp.
He is predeceased by a brother, Timothy J. Botwright and survived by his wife, Patricia A. Botwright and he is predeceased by a sister, Pamela A. Frost.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 17th at 9:30 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park, Reading, PA 19605.
A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6 until 8 pm and Saturday from 8:30 until 9 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.
Interment will follow the Mass on Saturday in Gethsemane Cemetery in Laureldale.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. at www.heart.org/ or 968 Postal Rd., Suite 110, Allentown, PA 18109.
