Gladys I. Groff

Gladys I. (Kreitz) Groff, 85. Of Myerstown, formerly of Bernville, passed away Wednesday evening in StoneRidge Poplar Run in Myerstown.

Gladys was married to the late Harold H. Groff who passed away November 3, 2014.

Born in Bernville, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Kreitz and Laura (Rhine) Kreitz. Also, she is predeceased by a step mother, Helen Kreitz.

Gladys was a member of Friedens Church in Bernville.

Gladys was formerly employed by Talbot Manufacturing in Reading. After Talbot she was employed by Littman's Jewelry in in the Berkshire Mall and then Zales Jewelry in the Fairgrounds Mall.

Gladys loved traveling to the beach. She collected post cards, covered bridges, and carousel horses.

Surviving are two children, Kandy M. Landuyt and husband Jerry D. Landuyt of Myerstown and Kim D, Groff and wife Gail S. Groff of Richland.

There is a brother, Ray Kreitz widower of Carolyn Kreitz and companion of Cathryn Spayd of Bernville.

Gladys is survived by her grandchildren, Phillip Groff and wife Cynthia, Peter Groff and wife Stacy and Michelle Salem and husband Scott. Also, Kristin Murray Noel Landuyt, and Heidi Johnson.

Also, Gladys is survived by her great grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Zachary, Lincoln, and Lucy Groff. Also, Hayleigh Kapp, Nicholas, Caroline, and Hope Landuyt and Clayton and Anna Johnson.

Gladys is survived by many nieces, nephews, and her extended step family.

She is predeceased by a brother, Ralph Kreitz.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 1st at 10 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St, Bernville.

A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 9 am until the time of the service in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service on Thursday in Christ Little Tulpehocken Church Cemetery.
