Gloria A. Hatt, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, at The Highlands. Born on August 28, 1939, in West Reading, Gloria lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a love for family and friends.
A 1957 graduate of Reading High School, Gloria embarked on her professional journey with Bell Telephone, where she contributed five years of service. Demonstrating a strong work ethic and a welcoming spirit, she later joined Met-Ed. There, she worked as a receptionist and phone operator until her well-earned retirement in 1999. Gloria's commitment to her work was a reflection of the care she extended to everyone around her.
Gloria’s personal life was filled with joy and meaningful connections. She cherished spending time at her beloved Ocean City, Maryland, where she owned a condominium that became a gathering place for her family and many close friends in the community. Her involvement extended beyond her home and took pride in her membership with the Fraternal Order of the Elks #2645 Ladies Auxiliary of Ocean City, Maryland. She was also an active member of Rosedale United Church of Christ.
Her family was the cornerstone of her life. Gloria is survived by her sons, David Nally, husband of Gina, and Kenneth C. Hatt, husband of Jennifer. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Lauren and Ryan Hatt, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Gloria was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Charles T. Hatt, as well as her parents, George and Blanche E. (Heinly) Wagaman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gloria's name may be made to Rosedale UCC, 1301 E Bellevue Ave, Laureldale, PA 19605.
Her passing leaves a profound void among those who knew her, yet her legacy of kindness, dedication, and community spirit will continue to inspire and comfort all who were fortunate to share in her life. Gloria A. Hatt’s memory will be cherished forever by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
