Harry J. Strohecker Jr., a dedicated telecommunications communication engineer and United States Navy veteran, passed away on May 18, 2026, at Reading Hospital. Born on October 9, 1942, Mr. Strohecker’s life was marked by a commitment to his profession, his community, and his family.
A 1960 graduate of Reading High School, Harry embarked on a career that spanned decades in the telecommunications industry. He began working at Western Electric, Bell Telephone, AT&T, and continued his professional journey with Lucent Technologies, culminating in his retirement following the company’s acquisition by Agere.
Harry also served his country honorably as a member of the United States Navy.
Beyond his professional and military contributions, Harry was a member of the Temple Fire Company. He cherished spending time with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maryann (Kiediesch) Strohecker, and his parents, Harry J. Strohecker, Sr., and Concetta (Festa) Strohecker.
Harry is survived by his children: Pam S. Bogoniewski, wife of Richard; Jan M. Miller, wife of Michael; Debbie L. Master; Melissa A. Smith; Daniel S. Strohecker; and Andrew P. Strohecker. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Tyler, Emily, Patrick, Rebecca, Benjamin, Nicholas, Joshua, Jessica, Jacob, Brandon, Alex, Olivia, Kayla, Seth, and Christopher, as well as six great-grandchildren who brought him joy.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation held on May 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, located at 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple.
Burial will take place in Charles Evans Cemetery immediately after.

Harry J. Strohecker’s life was characterized by outstanding service, both professionally and personally. His contributions will be remembered, and his absence deeply felt by all who knew him.
