Helen M. Moyer

Helen M. (Dietrich) Moyer, 83, formerly of Temple, died peacefully Thursday at 3:08 P.M. in the St. Joseph's Medical Center. She was the widow of Lawrence E. Moyer, who died February 10, 2012.



Helen was born in Richmond Township on August 12, 1930, the daughter of the late Pious E. and Ida M. (Hottenstein) Dietrich.



A craftswoman specializing in quilted pillows, Helen participated in the Fairgrounds Square Mall's craft shows. She and her husband volunteered with the picnics at Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Township.



Surviving are the following children; Carl L. husband of Sharon F. (Hafer) Moyer of Rockland Township; Leroy E. husband of Lyn (Colandrea) Moyer of Summit, NJ; Ernest L. husband of Joan E. (Reeder) Moyer of Mechanicsburg; Steven E. Moyer of Hamburg; Joyce M. wife of Glenn W. Krick of Exeter Township; and Deborah E. wife of Michael W. Sonon of Adamstown.



Helen is also survived by a brother, Harold Dietrich of Perry Township, and a sister, Dorothy McLaughlin of Tilden Township.



She is predeceased by three brothers, Earl (2008), Raymond (2010), and James (2013) Dietrich, and a sister, Catherine Stern (2013).



There are ten grandchildren: Jennifer L. (Moyer) wife of Joseph Demers of Middletown, CT; Melissa A. Moyer of Austin, TX; Stephanie M. (Krick) wife of Lyle Hinsdale of Big Sandy, TX; Allison G. & Erin L. Moyer of Mechanicsburg; Lawrence F. Moyer of Morristown, TN; Matthew S. and Nicholas E. Moyer of Hamburg; Kevin husband of Jamie Sonon of Adamstown; and Christopher husband of Randi Sonon of Morristown, TN; and six great grandchildren: Justin, Savannah, Addison, Jackson, Kooper, and Colton.



Funeral services from the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. Temple on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be private in St. Peter's Cemetery, Richmond Township. Family will receive friends on Saturday 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
