James D. Hoimes, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 7, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 3, 1954, in Lehigh Valley, James was a proud graduate of Northampton High School, class of 1972. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served his country with honor and attained the rank of Sergeant.
For over 35 years, James dedicated his life to the family business, working alongside his brother at Fleetwood Pizza. His work ethic and commitment to his family were evident in all aspects of his life, earning him the admiration of those around him.
James had a profound love for spending time with his family and loved ones, which he cherished above all else. He is survived by his wife, Dina (Rodriguez Ostos) Hoimes, and their children: Alexandrea E. Hoimes, fiancé of Alberto Villasenor; Colin D. Peters, companion of Melissa; Geoffery M. Peters, husband of Cheyenne; Ashley L. Peters; Kassandra L. Hoimes; and Nephew David Kehres, husband of Ashley. He also leaves behind a step-daughter, Kristie Deschler. James was a proud grandfather to Molly Peters, Amare Bonilla, Atlas Arroyo, Julian Hoimes, Raina Hoimes, Addrianna Lazaro, Austin Lazaro, and Amaya Kehres.
James is also survived by his brother, Constitine Hoimes, husband of Lisa; his step-sister, Julie Kehres; his niece, Melinda Kehres; and her son, David C. Kehres Jr.
A viewing will be held at Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home in Temple, PA, on September 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. James will be laid to rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, with burial taking place at 1:30 PM.
James D. Hoimes will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
