James R. Jones, Sr., 58, of Exeter Twp., passed away Tuesday, December 22nd in Penn State St. Joseph Medical Center.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of Andrea (Celmer) Jones of Reading and the late Bertram E. Jones.
Jim in the most abbreviated way possible could be described as a deadheaded fishing boat captain that could out fly fish most any person you could think of. His birth, life and death where so profound and mold breaking that to this day the universe is stilling trying to figure out how they let this one get by in his creation. He loved hard and fully.
He spoke his mind freely never sparring a word. In his youth he was an untethered free spirited wild child. In his later years he was a grounded and wise free spirited wild adult child. He related more to children then adults. Kids saw him more as a big kid then an adult. His loud voice and bright personality ensured that whatever room he was in was felt.
There are many people today that can say they are alive and there life is better for have knowing him. Jim will be missed dearly by many, but Jim will never be forgotten.
May the four winds blow him safely home.
