Janet A. Fitzgerald, 73, of Blandon, passed away Saturday, August 26th in her residence.
Janet was married to the late Lamar D. Fitzgerald who passed away in 2000.
Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Walter Beard and Esther (Hertzog) Beard.
Janet was a member of Maidencreek Church in Blandon.
Janet was a hairdresser for more than twenty years with a salon in her residence. She then retired from Giorgio Foods in Blandon where she was employed for twenty years.
Janet enjoyed quilting and sewing, She was a fan of the Phillies and enjoyed watching NASCAR.
Survivors include two children, Kimberly A. Lutz, wife of Lloyd K. Lutz of Kempton and Kerry A. Fitzgerald and wife Diane Y. Fitzgerald of Blandon.
There are seven grandchildren, Olivia, Ava, Evan, Everlie, and Amadeus Fitzgerald and Bradyn and Carson Lutz.
There are two siblings, Rodney Beard and wife Sandra of Fleetwood and Terry Beard and wife Mary of Reading.
Also, four nieces, Lisa, Cindy, Stacey, and Wendy.
Janet loved her cats, Lily and Snickers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 31st at 7 pm in Maidencreek Church, 261 Main St., Blandon with Reverend Sara Hertzog officiating.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, 1801 N. 11th. St., Reading, PA 19604 or Heartland Hospice, 2201 Ridgewood Rd., Suite 180. Wyomissing, PA 19610.
