Janice M. (Malandra) Gagliano Solomon

Janice M. (Malandra) Gagliano Solomon, 85, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Saturday in her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Janice was predeceased by her first husband, Salvatore S. Gagliano who passed away September 19, 1990 and her second husband Niel Solomon.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Massimo Malandra and Philomena (De-Angelo) Malandra.

She was a 1955 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and was employed for many years for Baltimore County, MD in Human Resources.

She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church.

She enjoyed traveling and dining out.

Janice loved being with family and friends, especially her Children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren.

Surviving are two loving daughters, Wendy A. Lutz, wife of Edward P. Lutz of Muhlenberg Twp. and Marci L. Gagliano of Pittsburgh.

There are four Grandchildren, Nicholas Lutz and wife Paulina, Alex Lutz, Megan Froehlich and husband Brad, and Samantha Hagerty. She was predeceased by a Granddaughter, Chelsea Curley.

There are three Great Grandchildren, Dean Lutz and Parker and Kennedy Froehlich.

She has a sister, Mildred Lang and husband James lang and is predeceased by eight siblings.

Family and friends may attend a Celebration of Life Service for Janice on Saturday, August 5th at 10 AM in Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel of Resurrection, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale with the Entombment to follow in the Chapel of Resurrection Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. at act.alz.org in memory of Janice M. Solomon.
