Joan D. Richards, 90, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Tuesday, February 11th in St. Joseph Medical Center.
She was married to Stantin J. Richards who passed away December 30, 1997.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late John Scheuring and Augusta (Impink) Scheuring.
She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church.
She was employed by Boscov's North for forty years.
She enjoyed playing bingo and traveling to the casinos. Joan, with her late husband Stantin and family, enjoyed vacationing at the beach in New Jersey.
In earlier years, she played the violin and also worked for the military at the Reading Airport loading equipment on military aircraft.
Surviving are her children, Michael J. Richards of Maine, Stephen G. Richards, husband of Lia of Bath, PA, Joanne M., wife of Glenn Eagle of Riverview Park, Marian T., wife of Larry Hoffman of Shoemakersville, and Christopher J. Richards, husband of Michelle of Exeter.
There are twelve grandchildren and one predeceased grandson.
Also, fourteen great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday February 17th at 10:30 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park, Reading, PA 19605.
Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum.
Family and friends may call in Holy Guardian Angels RCC Monday morning from 9:30 am until the mass begins.
The Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., Temple is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
