Joan A. (Anniballi) Williams

Joan A. (Anniballi) Williams, 83, of Muhlenberg Twp., widow of D. Lee Williams, passed away on December 20 at her residence.

Born in Reading on September 2, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Emidio and Marcella (Merlonghi) Anniballi. She is survived by her daughter, Julie A. wife of Charlie Gahres, Jr., of West Lawn.

She was predeceased by her sister, Julia Savini, and her brothers, Albert Annibelli and Ron Jon Annibelli. She is also survived by her sister in law, Marjorie Anniballi, widow of Ron Jon, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Joan was a graduate of the former Central Catholic High School. She was employed at Wells Fargo Bank in customer service for many years. She was a lifelong member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church. Joan was a very active member of the church choir, St Vincent de Paul Society and soup kitchen, as well as a previous volunteer at the Berks Co. Literacy Council and St Mary’s Shelter.

Joan loved being outdoors and working in her yard. She never gave up trying to grow grass under the magnolia tree.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 27, at 10:00 AM in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park, Reading, PA, with Father Robert T. Finlen as celebrant.

Friends may call Thursday from 8 AM until 9:30 AM in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA.

Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Mausoleum Chapel of Resurrection.
