John R. Duncan

John R. Duncan, 87, formerly of Muhlenberg, passed away on December 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 29, 1935, he was a son to the late Raymond L. Duncan and the late Katherine (Stoudt) Duncan. John was the husband of the late Diann (Miller) Duncan, who passed away in 1983, and the late Lois (Mazur) Duncan, who passed away in 2010.

John earned his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1957 from Lafayette College. While obtaining his Bachelor's Degree, John was a member of the Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa NU Honorary Society. He went on to complete his Master's Degree in 1962, also from Layfette College. In 1962, John earned one of two Master's Degrees ever to have come from Layfette College at the time. John was employed by Layfette College, where he taught electrical engineering courses for eight years. Lastly, John was employed by General Public Utilities, working in various engineering positions from 1965 until his retirement in 1994.

John is survived by his children, Karen Kibler, wife of Keith Kibler of Coatesville, Karl S. Duncan, widower of Gerard Desmarais, of Florida and Adam T. Duncan, husband of Samantha M. Duncan. Also surviving are grandchildren, Matthew (Lauren), Lyndsay (Geoff) and Nathaniel (Lindsay), Sarah, Rebecca, Noah Kibler, Carter, Taylor and Harper Duncan; Great Grandchildren Isabel, Hadley and Henry Kibler and one sister, Mary Russell.

A visitation will be held Monday, December 19, 2022, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple.
