Judith Ann “Judy” Berger, 71, of Bernville passed away Friday, April 2nd in Tower Health, Reading Hospital.
Judy was the loving wife of Donald W. Berger. Judy and Donald would have been married forty five years on May 22.
Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Verna (Fromm) Stamm.
Judy graduated from Tulpehocken High School and then Empire Beauty School.
Her entire life Judy owned and operated Judy’s Beauty Shop in Bernville.
She also assisted her husband Donald in the operation of Berger’s Lawn Maintenance also located in Bernville.
She was a longtime faithful member of Bern Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She was a member of the worship and music committee and sang in the choir for many years.
She was treasurer for over thirty years for the Thunderbolts Production Unit.
Family was very important to Judy, she loved spending time with all her family members, especially her grandchildren.
She was a people person, she loved being with people.
She really enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City, MD.
Judy will be missed very much by her family and the community.
Surviving along with her loving husband Donald are two daughters, Tabitha L. Angstadt and husband Kyle of Leesport and Laura L. Berger of Bernville.
There are three grandchildren, Abigail and Aiden Angstadt and Shyann Parks.
There is a sister, Melanie Bigos and a half-sister, Sue Noll.
A viewing will take place on Monday, April 12th from 6 until 8 pm in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville.
Social distancing is encouraged and masks are required.
The funeral service and interment will be private.
