June P. (Branham) Arecco, 70, of Blandon, Pa died Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading. Born on November 17, 1946 in Somerville, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Roy Z. and Katherine M. (Hopf) Branham. June spent the last 12-years with her loving companion, Bruce Young of Blandon.
June loved to travel, she enjoyed boat cruises with her sister and long car rides up and down the east coast with Bruce in their '42 Ford. She would come home with a treasured souvenir from every stop along the way. She was adventurous and liked camping and zip-lining. June was proud of her American Indian ancestry and would attend Monacan Indian pow-wows. She worked as the CVS Store Supervisor in Shillington for many years. Along with Bruce, she was an active member of the Reading Fair Grounds Racing Historical Society. At home she enjoyed spending time with Bruce and her fun-loving Jack Russel named Nicky.
June is survived by her son, Robert Ongradi and his wife, Marla of New Jersey, twin granddaughters, Morgan and Lindsay, and her sister, Joan Groff. She will also be dearly missed by Bruce's three sons and six grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, Pa 19560. The service will be officiated by Reverend Grant Wickert. Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home just prior to the service.
Interment will take place in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell, New Jersey.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Reading Fair Grounds Racing Historical Society at www.readingfairgroundsracing.com.
