Kathryn D. Dewalt

April 27, 1942 — August 15, 2017

Kathryn D. Dewalt, 75, of Oley Township passed away early Tuesday morning in Manor Care Health Services in Laureldale.

Kathryn was married to Robert J. Dewalt.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Edward Haas and Gladys (Pryne) Haas.

She graduated from Mt Penn High School.

She was employed for twelve years at Community General Hospital in Reading in the dietary and catering department.

Kathryn enjoyed shopping for antiques and was a great cook and baker.

Kathryn was a talented artist and excelled in oil painting. She was also a talented writer and wrote many poems. She was recognized for a poem she wrote winning an award for it.

Kathryn was a very good singer and loved to go to New York City to attend musicals.

Kathryn loved all animals.

She really loved to watch Days of Our Lives on television.

Additional survivors include five children, Tracey L. York, wife of Joseph J. York of Laureldale, Tara L. Orischak, wife of Steven T. Orischak of Robesonia, Diana J. Yarnall of Allentown, Deborah J. Eppenstein, wife of James E. Eppenstein of Laureldale, and Lance P. Molyviatis, husband of Hayley Molyviatis of Oley.

There are ten grandchildren, Joshua, Danielle, Katie, Athena, Nathan, Austin, Delphi, Olivia, Cameron, and Joel.

Also, four great grandchildren, Charlotte, Khloe, Frances, and Karter and two on the way.

There is one sister, Rosemary M. Barrell, wife of David Barrell of Exeter Twp.

She is predeceased by a brother, Terry Haas who passed away in 2004.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 19th at 11 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.

A visitation with the family will take place on Saturday morning from 10 am until, time of service in the funeral home.

Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508 or the Humane Society, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604.
