Larry W DeLong

Larry W DeLong passed away at the age of 85. Born December 19, 1940 to George J. and Annie A. (Hoffman) DeLong, the husband of Geraldine M. (Losey) DeLong for 52 years. 

The father of three, Stephen A. DeLong and Robbi Lynn Hess, proceeded by the loss of a son Kirby Troy DeLong. Larry is the grandfather of three; Dustin Gingrich, Cody DeLong husband of Megan, Kirsten (Hess) Ash wife of Albert; and six great grandchildren, Bryson Gingrich, Laney Gingrich, Penelope DeLong, Brayden Ash, AJ Ash, and Pheonyx Ash. 

Larry was one of 15 children; seven brothers all deceased, Mark, Marvin, Adam, Kenneth, Norman, Russell and Bruce. Seven sisters; Fern Ruth, Alberta Steffy, Linda Holland, surviving, Anna Bohr, Jean Trostle, Marie Gettel, and Eleanor Keller predeceased. 

Larry loved playing golf and many card games, especially Scrabble with siblings. Larry also had a love for deer hunting and going to the hunting camp in Tioga County. Larry was employed at Carpenter Technology for 35 years retiring at the age of 59. Larry was a longtime member of the Grund Sow Lodge, the Jay Cee and the Northkill Rod and Gun Club. He also enjoyed doing carpentry work and painting. 

A viewing will be held, Thursday, October 22, 2026 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am n the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main Street, Bernville. 

Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery.
