Lawrence E. "Larry" Leitzel

Lawrence E. "Larry" Leitzel 78 of Jefferson Township died Friday morning in the Reading Hospital Emergency Room. He was the widower of Mary P. (Polit) Leitzel, who died July 12, 2015.

Mr. Leitzel was born in Barnesville, Schuylkill County. He was the son of the late Leroy and Helen (Hall) Leitzel.

Surviving are two sons; Lawrence J. Leitzel of Harrisburg, and Dwain A. husband of Maureen Leitzel of Macungie.

Two grandchildren; Andrew and Thomas Leitzel

A brother, Ronald Leitzel of Barnesville

Lawrence was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine Sweet

Mr. Leitzel was a member of Christ United Church of Christ of Rush Township.

He had been employed numerous years by Rockwell International in Wyomissing last working as a printing press mechanic.

Lawrence served his country in the United States Army during peacetime. He enjoyed all sports and coached baseball and soccer.

Funeral services on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at Christ United Church of Christ, Barnesville.

Friends may call at the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St, Bernville, PA 19506 on Wednesday evening 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

Interment in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Mahanoy City.
