Leroy P. Keeney Sr

Leroy P. Keeney, Sr., 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11th in Stone Ridge Town Centre in Myerstown.
He was married to the late Ruth Mae (Zimmerman) Keeney who passed away October 15, 2004.
Born in Bethel Twp., he was the son of the late Herbert and Clara (Behney) Keeney.
He was employed as a crane operator for the former Empire Steel & Casting Co. in Laureldale for more than forty five years.
He had a son, Leroy P. Keeney, Jr., who passed away July 2011.
He is survived by his siblings, Tyrus M. Keeney and wife Joan of Manheim, Jerry A. Keeney of Bernville, Ada A. Miller, widow of Robert of Wernersville, and Annie E. Beinhower, wife of Wilmer of Manheim.
There are four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by brothers, John, Elmer, Herbert, Harry, and Alvin Keeney and sisters, Esther, Carrie, and Shirley.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 16th at 10 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Rev. Roderick Sutliff officiating.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9 until 10 am in the funeral home.
Interment will be in Christ Little Tulpehocken Church Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Little Tulpehocken Church, 40 Church Rd., Bernville, PA 19506.
