Louise E Scales

Louise E. (Fuge) Scales entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on October 13, 2026 at the age of 104 years and 356 days.

Born on October 22, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York, Louise lived a life devoted to God, her husband, and her family. She used her secretarial and teaching skills as she worked alongside her husband in Christian ministry. As a pastor's wife she graciously opened her home to many people over the years. Louise taught Sunday School, VBS, sang in the choir, played piano, sewed quilts for the elderly and for missions, gave gifts of home baked cookies to the elderly, and procured health care supplies for medical missions. She also worked as a secretary in the local school. She was a good listener, encourager, and a friend to many who needed her kindness and wisdom.

Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Rev. Dr. Samuel B. Scales. She was also preceded in death by her father, John G. Fuge, her mother, Ida E. (Finster) Fuge, her brother, Robert G. Fuge, and her granddaughter, Amanda Henn.

She is survived by her children, daughter Joan L. Rutt, daughter Hannah G. Pierce, wife of Tucker, son Samuel B. Scales III, husband of Marilyn, and son John M. Scales, husband of Robin. Louise also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jacob Henn, Rachel Henn, and Samuel Scales IV and one great grandchild, Coen Scales.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Monday, October 19, 2026 from 12 noon to 1 pm at Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, PA.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Children's Bible Fellowship 250 Nimham Rd, Carmel, NY 10512. This ministry was dear to Louise as she hosted and taught children while she lived in Brooklyn.
