Lynwood E. Mack

August 23, 1925 — June 23, 2014


Lynwood E Mack, 88, formerly of North Heidelberg Twp., entered into his eternal rest with his Lord and Savior on June 23rd 2014 at the Stoneridge Living Center in Myerstown Pa surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He was married to Helen G. (Lazarus) Mack. Lynwood and Helen would have celebrated seventy years of marriage in July of this year.

Born in Windgap, PA, he was the son of the late Earl Mack and Ethel M. (Frantz) Kammel.

He graduated from South Whitehall High School in 1943 and entered the Army Air Corp in September 1943 serving in WWII as a PFC.

Lynwood was most recently employed by Milmac Inc. in Womelsdorf. He was a founder and Secretary/Treasurer retiring in 2010.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 3 daughters. Lynette E. wife of Gene Zeller of Bernville Pa, Melanie A. wife of Donald Gartner of Mentor Ohio and Lori L. wife of Jan Moore of Robesonia PA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 half sisters, Kathleen, wife of the late Raymond Kern and Cynthia, wife of Preston Waters.

He was a member of St. Thomas Church in Bernville where he sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.

He was formerly a member of the consistory at Christ Little Tulpehocken Church, where he formerly sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.

Between both Christ Little Tulpehocken Church and St. Thomas Church he dedicated fifty years to teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir.

Lynwood was a former member of the Conrad Weiser School Board, a former member of the Lions Club of Bernville, and a member of the former Tulpehockenaires quartet .

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 28th at 11:00 am in St Thomas Church, 536 N. Main St., Bernville, PA 19506 with Pastor Gene Zeller officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 10 - 11 am in the church. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St Thomas Church Prison Ministry at the above address.

The Kirkhoff Funeral Home, Bernville is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
