Melvin R. Hoyer, 74, of Bernville, passed away on July 10, 2021 in Berks Heim Nursing Home.
Born on April 17, 1947 he was a son to the late Edward Jacob and Laura (Wayne) Hoyer. He was employed with the Penske for 30 years where he worked as a Mechanic.
Melvin was a member of St. Thomas church in Bernville. He was an avid hunter and often traveled to Lycoming County for hunting Camp. Melvin also enjoyed target shooting.
Melvin is survived by his sisters, Gloria J. Gassert, wife of Harold R., and Lauretta P. Snyder, widow of Carroll L. “Bud” Snyder and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Hoyer, and sister, Shirley Luckenbill.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday, July 16, 2021 at 11:30 am in St. Thomas Cemetery, Bernville.
