Mildred E. (Mengel) Balthaser

Mildred E. Balthaser, 79, of Bernville, passed away Monday , March 31st in the Reading Hospital.
She was married to the late Dale E. Balthaser who passed away
in 1973.
Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Mengel and Elsie (Young) Mengel.
She graduated from Hamburg High School and was employed by TTMA in Frystown as a restaurant manager.
She was a member of St. Thomas Church in Bernville.
Surviving are her children, Stephanie K., wife of Donald Benjamin of Boyertown, Dale B. Balthaser, husband of Debra of Bernville, George W. Balthaser of Exeter Twp., and John V. Balthaser of Strausstown. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Jeffery Balthaser.
There are four grandchildren, Kirsten and Kyle Benjamin and Travis and Noah Balthaser. Also, three great grandchildren, Owen Balthaser, and Abigail and Addison Benjamin.
She was predeceased by a brother, Leroy Mengel.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 5th at 10:30 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Pastor Christian Creyer officiating. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery in Bernville. Family and friends may attend a viewing on Friday evening from 7 until 8:30 pm and Saturday from 9:30 until 10:30 am in the funeral home.
