Mildred "Bette" Krause

Mildred E. "Bette" (Snyder) Krause, 94, formerly of Leesport, passed away Sunday October 22nd in Berks Heim.
She was married to the late David B. Krause who passed away March 19, 2003.
Born in Mohrsville, she was the daughter of the late Merritt A. C. "Mac" Snyder and Lizzie (Rahn) Snyder.
She was a 1941 graduate of Ontelaunee High School.
She was a member of St. John's Gernants United Church of Christ in Leesport.
In earlier years she was employed in the office at Meinig Co. in Reading.
For thirty two years she was a member of St. John's Gernants Cemetery Board, a twenty five year member of the Leesport Senior Citizens, and for over fifty three years she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Bette enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, traveling to the casinos, and playing cards.
Surviving is her loving son, Michael D. Krause of Temple.
Also, there are two nieces and two nephews.
Bette is predeceased by her siblings, James C. Snyder, Jean R. Hix, and Frances L. Schettler.
A funeral service will be held on Friday October 27th at 11 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Reverend Frances Merkel officiating.
A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 9 am until time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in St. John's Gernants Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Gernants UCC, 12 Gernants Church Rd., Leesport, PA 19533.
