Minnie M Gromis

Minnie M. Gromis, born on March 6, 1935, in Shartlesville, entered eternal rest on September 1, 2025, at Reading Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted member of the Friedens Church in Shartlesville, Minnie was cherished for her unwavering faith and her commitment to her community.

Minnie enjoyed a fulfilling career, working at several establishments throughout her life, with her final position being at Sam's Club in Temple, where she retired in March 2005. Her colleagues and friends admired her dedication, kindness, and warmth, which she brought to every interaction.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jay R. Gromis, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage until his passing on May 27, 2016. Minnie is also predeceased by her parents, Walter and Sallie (Gombert) Wengert, and her siblings, Walter W. Wengert and Helen Koller.

Minnie leaves behind a loving family to honor her memory. She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey J. Gromis, husband of Sharon, and Duane R. Gromis, husband of Karen, along with three cherished grandchildren, Caroline, Keith, and Brandon Gromis, and one sister, Darlene Carter. Her legacy of love and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
