Pearl I. (Strohecker) Williams

August 1, 1913 — October 2, 2013

Pearl I. Williams, age 100, passed away at the Reading Hospital on October 2nd. She had resided in Laureldale for 96 years.

She was the widow of the late Evan T. Williams, who passed away in 1971.

Born in 1913 in Upper Tulpehocken Twp., she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Annie Laura (Kline) Strohecker.

Pearl was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School, where she was also a basketball star.
She was employed as a comptroller for Feel-Fine Shops and after retiring, as a manager for the Windsor Card Shop.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Joan Williams of Temple, widow of the late D. Lee Williams, who passed away in 1992 and a granddaughter, Julie A., wife of Charles A. Gahres Jr. of West Lawn.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 7th at 10:30 a.m. in the Milkins Giles Funeral home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Msgr. Dennis T. Hartgen officiating. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery.
Family and friends may attend a viewing on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home.
