Phyllis Louise Barrett

Phyllis Louise Barrett, 97, widow of Jack Barrett, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025 in

Georgetown, KY. Born in Laureldale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Garman and

Kathryn (Quimby) Early.

A former sales clerk with J.C. Penney, Phyllis was a member and former Worthy Matron of the

Order of the Eastern Star, Reading Chapter #251. She enjoyed swimming at Muhlenberg Pool

and dancing the night away at the Northmont Club and especially at the Ingy Pingy. She earned

her GED June 6,1985 and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Weston, Fl.

She was previously married to Raymond W Greth, and is survived by her daughters, Carol

(Greth) Harrison, Miami, FL and Susan (Greth) Obermeyer, Georgetown, KY; brother, Jack Early,

Hollywood, Fl; grandchildren, Kenneth (Rick) Harrison, Jr, Kevin Harrison, Keith Harrison, Tiffany

Obermeyer, and Jason Obermeyer; great grandchildren, Jessica, Nick, Kenny, Bella, Nick, Bryce,

Lexington and Benjamin. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by

her son, Raymond Scott Greth; her sister, June Early, and granddaughter Cheryl Nealey.

There was always time in her life for friends, family, the pool, the beach, and her great love of

dancing. She will be missed by her loving family.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple and interment at Schwarzwald Cemetery.
