Richard A. Henne

Richard A. Henne 91 of Bernville died Tuesday at 1:47 P.M. in the Penn State St. Joseph's Medical Center.

He was the loving husband of Betty I. (Long) Henne. They shared a loving marriage of seventy-three years. Richard was very dedicated to his family.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late John I. and Amy E. (Anspach) Henne.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Kerry R. husband of Joan M. Henne of Carlisle; and Rowena F. wife of Stephen C. Henderson of Penn Township. He was predeceased by a son, Dale C. Henne in 1985. He was the husband of Joan L. (Nuss) Henne of Penn Township.

Richard was blessed to have six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He has a brother, Luther S. Henne, of Wyomissing. A brother, Gilbert J. Henne, also predeceased him.

Mr. Henne was employed eleven years by Post Precision last working as a robotic technician. He retired in 1990. Prior to that employment, Richard was employed eighteen years by ARA Vending Company, Wyomissing last working there as a mechanic.

Richard served his country during World War II in the United States Merchant Marines and the United State Air Force.

He was a member of St. Thomas Church, Bernville. He enjoyed wood crafting making furniture and bird houses. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing.

Memorial services for Richard will be on Tuesday from St. Thomas Church, Bernville at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Dr. Daniel Lute officiating. Inurnmrnt will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.

Contributions in Richard's memory may be given to the charity of your choice.
