Samuel “Sammy” Vaccaro, 89, of Temple, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 in his residence.
Born on November 9, 1932, he was the son to the late Giuseppe and Maria (Iannello) Vaccaro. He was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School.
Sammy was a lifetime member of Temple Fire Company and also a member of the Jackson Democratic & Social Club. Sammy enjoyed gardening and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and friends. Sammy loved spending time with his family at the Vaccaro Bungalow and having supper at Jimbo’s; Above all, Sammy was a doting grandfather and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sammy is survived by his daughters, Donna M. Stoudt, widow of Kerry E. Stoudt, Denise L. Hartman, wife of Jim and Diane L. Hammaker, wife of Eric. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Justin R. Hartman, husband of Tiffany, Paige K. Harley, wife of Parker and Katie M. Hammaker; Great grandchildren, Abigail Hartman, Hunter Hartman and Palmer T. Harley; Siblings, Carmella Chipperfield, Antionette Bauer, Claira Ingram, Jennie Redcay, Josephine Condos, Johnny Vaccaro and Joe Vaccaro.
Sammy was predeceased by his siblings, Tony Vaccaro, Angelo Vaccaro, Michael Vaccaro, Michaeline Etchberger, Mary Venezaile, Grace Bellanca, and Angeline Harris.
A Viewing will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 9:00 am – 10:30 am at the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple with a memorial service beginning at 10:30 am.
Burial will take place in Laureldale Cemetery.
