Sean M. Orner

September 16, 1999 — December 26, 2017

Sean M. Orner, 18, of Bethel, Pa and senior student of Tulpehocken High School, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017, after a tragic automobile accident. Sean is the tender, fun-loving son of John M. and Lorie L. (Leisey) Orner. He was born on September 16, 1999 at Reading Hospital and was planning to graduate high school in just five short months.

Sean had just recovered from surgery at the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia and was excited about overcoming his condition with a fresh outlook on life. Sean had the mind and hand of a mechanic and the imagination of an artist. He could often be found wrenching on a car or truck, restoring its function and worth. And whether he was painting, sculpting, or drawing, the end result was a masterpiece. Sean preferred the outdoors hiking, hunting, and fishing were among the things he enjoyed the most. He was an animal lover and rescued his share of baby rabbits, raising them, then releasing them when they were old enough. Sean was an old-soul, he had old-fashioned values, and respect for others that often isn't seen today. He was so caring, and kind, and loved to make people laugh. He was very good with children of all ages. Sean would consider himself a founder of the 'the church of Bilson', a fun school project that he and his "dudes" created and turned into a private club. Sean loved spending time with his friends. His artistic ability also reached into music. He had just recently joined a band where he was the bass guitar player. They call themselves 'The Anchovies'. Despite his physical condition, Sean was a great swimmer, a natural in the water. He also enjoyed history, particularly American history, and Sean was a collector, his unique treasures were endless. He loved his family and he was a friend to all who met him.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his paternal grandfather, Milton Orner; Aunt Connie Bills wife of George, and his two cousins, Kristian Bills and Zachary Bills. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Mock, Great grandmother Catherine Leisey, and three uncles, William Leisey, Eddie Leisey, and Herman Leisey.

Sean is predeceased by his paternal grandmother Sara (Madden) Orner; maternal grandfather, Eddie Leisey; and great grandfather, Clark Leisey.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Tulpehocken High School, 430 New Schaefferstown Rd, Bernville, PA 19506. In Sean's honor, please wear green and camo colors which were his favorite.
