Sylvia D. "Sissy" Ulrich

January 14, 1954 — April 17, 2016


Sylvia D. Ulrich, "Sissy", 62, formerly of Fleetwood, passed away Sunday, April 17th in the Schuylkill Center in Pottsville of natural causes.

Born in Reading, she is the daughter of Floyd V. Ulrich of Fleetwood and the late Mildred (Weaver) Ulrich.

Sylvia was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Fleetwood.

Sylvia was very independent and had outstanding work ethics. She was employed by Prospectus-Berco in Reading for over twenty five years.

Sylvia was very talented and enjoyed crafts including doing latch hook, loom pot holders, and completing puzzles.

She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, traveling, rolling dice, going to the casinos, and really loved to sing.

She participated in the Special Olympics.

Sylvia touched many lives and brought joy and laughter to many people.

Surviving with her father Floyd are her siblings, Randolph Scott Ulrich and wife Doris of Akron, PA and Brenda J. James and partner Joseph D'Andrea of Fleetwood. She is predeceased by a brother, Craig F, Ulrich and survived by Craig's wife Ruth Ulrich.

There are several nieces and nephews which include, Krista and Cory James, David, Brian, and Steve Ulrich, and Jennifer Goggins.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 22nd at 10:30 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.

A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 7 until 8:30 pm and Friday morning from 10 am until time of service in the funeral home

Interment will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Tuckerton.
